1. Who We Are

Consumer Intelligence Group Inc. (“CiG”) provides data-driven marketing insights through anonymized, geo-demographic, and survey data at the postal code level. Based in Canada, CiG has over 14 years of experience in delivering compliant marketing data and analytical solutions.

Our platforms and services (intelligentVIEW) are built with privacy, security, and regulatory compliance as foundational principles. We operate in accordance with applicable Canadian privacy laws, including the Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA), Canada’s Anti-Spam Legislation (CASL), and Quebec Law 25.

2. CiG Privacy Principles

No Collection of Personally Identifiable Information (PII)

CiG processes only non-PII data from trusted sources. All data is anonymized or aggregated at the postal code or dissemination area level before use in CiG products and services. CiG does not collect, use, or disclose any PII.

  • Geographic and location-based data collected with appropriate consent by partners

All data partners follow applicable laws and obtain necessary consents before sharing data.

Data Retention

Data from our partners is retained only as long as necessary for the purposes described in this policy and our End User Agreement. CiG does not collect or store PII. The intelligentVIEW platform is designed to prevent the upload of PII.

Access to data is limited to authorized CiG personnel for approved operational purposes.

3. Data Sources & Use of Identifier for Advertisers (IFA)

CiG uses aggregated data such as census and geographic data to estimate demographic attributes at the postal code level.

CiG also receives Identifier for Advertisers (IFA) data, collected with user consent via electronic devices, for privacy-compliant audience segmentation.

IFA Use for Digital Media Activation

  • IFAs are anonymized and used only at a postal code aggregation level
  • IFAs do not allow individual identification
  • IFAs are encrypted at rest and hashed in transfer
  • IFAs are not shared in identifiable form with any CiG clients

Users control their IFA settings on their own devices.

  • Restrict targeted advertising

6. OAuth Access & Audience Push Services

Purpose of OAuth Login

OAuth login enables authenticated access to third-party platforms such as Google DV360, Meta Ads Manager, and others, to push audience segments built within the intelligentVIEW platform for digital media activation.

Data Accessed via OAuth

  • Establish a secure session using an authentication token
  • Transfer aggregated audience identifiers into the connected ad platform

No other user account data is accessed or retained.

Data Not Accessed or Collected

  • Emails, contacts, calendars, or files
  • Ad account performance data
  • Messaging data
  • Any unrelated third-party platform content

We do not store third-party credentials or retain authorization beyond the active session.

Security and Compliance

  • OAuth sessions are encrypted using industry-standard protocols
  • Tokens are stored only for the duration required to complete the audience push
  • OAuth functionality complies with Google OAuth API Verification, Meta Platform Policies, and app store requirements

User Controls

  • Revoke access in their third-party account settings (e.g., Google, Meta)
  • Contact CiG’s Privacy Officer to request manual disconnection

This Privacy Policy is hosted on a responsive, permanent URL to meet the privacy policy hosting requirements of major app platforms. It is reviewed regularly and updated as required to reflect new data practices, partners, and platform integrations.
